Hi, I’m samar.

I’m Samar (pronounced Summer) — MSc, BSc, MPH, RCPath, ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) Certified Clinical Embryologist. Alongside my medical degree, I hold a Master’s in Biotechnology in Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology, a diploma in nutrition, and I am a psychosexual and relationship psychotherapist in training.

Over the years, I have worked as a senior embryologist in Egypt, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, developing advanced skills in IVF and laboratory procedures, and training junior staff. My international experience has given me a broad understanding of different clinical approaches, as well as in-depth knowledge of pre-treatment investigations, hormone stimulation protocols, and genetics.

Working in smaller, patient-focused clinics has allowed me to develop a strong ability to communicate with compassion and clarity — a skill I consider as vital as scientific expertise. As a psychotherapist, I draw on evidence-based techniques to help patients navigate the emotional challenges of fertility treatment, while maintaining a sense of identity and positivity, whatever the outcome.

My perspective is also deeply shaped by personal experience. Having transitioned from inside the lab to being a patient myself, I truly understand the intensity of this journey — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Today, I combine my scientific background, nutritional knowledge, psychotherapy training, and lived experience to offer a holistic approach to fertility counselling. I provide evidence-based medical and nutritional guidance, alongside emotional support, to help you feel informed, resilient, and empowered throughout your journey.
